More Lies From Rush

So I turned on Rush for about a minute this morning, just as I got off I-90 in Spokane. In those 45-60 seconds, I heard him degrade women, get cocky, laugh about it, and lie about the media and scientists.

He had on Murtha's opponent for Congress, a woman; he'd called her a babe the other day, asked her how that made her feel. She said humbling, he laughed, and said yes, the Nation's Anchorman El Rushbo can humble you, he has that effect on people. Then he said the "drive-by media" isn't too happy right now; because of "global warming," the Atlantic was supposed to get hotter and hotter every year, and we'd see more hurricanes that would be more powerful, and this year would see even more death and destruction than last year, but that's not gonna happen, folks! It's not happening, and it's not going to happen!

It's stupid to judge the whole hurricane season just a couple weeks in. But that's just mere foolishness, it's not the lie I speak of. The lie is that no one has said this year's hurricane season would be worse than last year's! They (as in scientists and the "drive-by media") have said it will be worse than normal (and there's still plenty of time for that), but they have also said it will NOT be as bad as last year. They're predicting 7 named storms or something like that (not sure of the specific number), but it is less than last year's. So Rush lied about what they said.

That all took a minute, tops. I didn't get mad, or angry, like I normally do. I smiled, laughed, and put on Al Franken. He gets his facts rights, and corrects himself when he learns otherwise.
